# Just One Bet: UEFA Champions League Round 3

The UEFA Champions League returns this week and the rubber is about to hit the road for some of these squads. As the form of this season’s table starts to mold into something slightly more refined, here a couple of bets during each day’s betting window to keep your interested during these mid-week tussles.

**Tuesday October, 21 - the 9:45 am (PST) window**

*Corners Handicap: Olympiakos Piraeus +4 (-106)*

Olympiakos doesn’t give up corners a lot in European Competition, averaging a measly 3.0 corners against a game, going back to their Europa League matches last year. While Barça seems like an obvious winner straight up in this category, in the past 10 league and UCL games combined they have only covered 4 corners in one of them. At almost even money, this bet oozes value.

**Tuesday October, 21 - the 12:00 pm (PST) window**

*Villarreal/Manchester City - Both Teams To Score - Yes (-172)*

Villarreal has struggled to keep a clean sheet recently, as they haven’t done so in four of their last five matches. Man City’s track record for keeping the ball out of the net in UCL play is giving fans fuzzy feelings either, with BTTS-Y hitting in 7 of their last 10 UCL games. Despite the terrible return on your bet, this one should hit.

**Wednesday October, 22 - the 9:45 pm (PST) window**

*Athletic Bilbao/Qarabag - Both Teams to Score - Yes (-105)*

Bilbao really enjoys giving up a least one goal. Like a lot! In nine of its last 10, the Lions got caught playing with their own food and let their opponent slip one past them. To make this bet even more enticing, Qarabag has notched a goal in every UCL game they played in this season. All sheets will be soiled before this one is through.

**Wednesday October, 22 - the 12:00 pm (PST) window**

*Sporting CP/Marseille - over 9.5 Total Corners (-117)*

This is a classic, let’s go against the algorithm situation. Sporting CP does a great job controlling the back line in Liga Portugal, which is probably the reason for where this line has landed. However, for some reason, the Lions don’t exhibit the same stubbornness when participating in the UCL, notching over 9.5 total corners in five straight UCL home games. Marseille gave up 9 corners in their last UCL road matchup against Real Madrid, and Sporting CP’s attack style lends to a similar result.
