With only twelve league games remaining for most EPL teams, the excitement and anxiety for Matchweek 27 should be bubbling above the brim, especially for teams deep in a relegation battle or perceived title race.

These 36 points starring square into the faces of every Starting XI represents the final grains of sand swirling towards the finality of another season. Squandering any opportunities to secure points that, for all intents and purposes, are “gimmies” could quickly transform into rumblings of a potential future collapse. At least that’s what most people are hoping after Arsenal let two points slide against a side that has already made Championship League plans.

Last time out, my EPL matchweek’s picks couldn’t have ended up any worse. In hindsight, adding the four extra games did not help at all. However, they did keep me entertained for every single EPL game for that Matchweek, and to be honest, that’s all that I really want from these articles. So, moving forward, we do them all!

For the 5 subscribers and 10 viewers of my last EPL post, I am truly sorry for those picks, but there is no way horrific results like that can hit this article in consecutive weeks. At least that’s what I keep telling myself…

Now, on to the games.

### 2/21 | 7:00 - Brentford / Brighton & Hove Albion

#### *Bet: Total Goals over 2.5 (-119)*

Over their past three games, Brighton’s goal production fell off a cliff, looking more puzzled than Wily E. Coyote chasing the Road Runner. Despite having a somewhat respectable xG during that span (averaging 1.26 with increasing improvement), three consecutive clean sheets never make an over bet feel welcoming. Brentford’s success rate at this total should also raise a flag of concern, as they’ve accomplished this feat only 30% of the time over their last 10 games. Yet, bucking the trend feels like the play here. Head-to-head, this duel has reached over 2.5 goals in three of its last five. With the Bees vying for a top 5 spot and the Seagulls desperately flapping away from the drop zone, two goals by either team might not be enough to secure all three points here.

### 2/21 | 7:00 - Chelsea / Burnley

#### *Bet: Both Teams to Score – Yes (-118)*

Although Chelsea found a way to keep a clean sheet in their last outing against Hull City, they were stumbling through a six-game streak of letting at least one goal past them before that. Burnley’s streak of giving up at least one goal reached 10 last weekend, and when you dig further, they have surrendered one or more goals in 19 of their last 20\. Ouch! Since 2023, the away team has averaged 2.67 goals in this head-to-head. Sure, Chelsea pulled on the road kits for three of those, but Burnley can’t afford to leave this one without scoring at least one goal.

### 2/21 | 7:00 - Aston Villa / Leeds United

#### *Bet: Leeds over 1.5 Yellow Cards (-159)*

Six points from the drop might seem like breathing room for Leeds, but they know that they are far from safe. Villa’s eight points from the apex, on the other hand, has Unai Emery’s squad thinking a title race may still be in the cards, especially with Arsenal’s midweek loss to Wolves. The intensity will be present for both teams, without a doubt. With Leeds’ recent propensity for getting cards on the road – collecting at least two yellow cards in four straight EPL road matches – and the likelihood of them tackling more aggressively due to playing from behind, Ethan Ampadu and the rest of his teammates will be extremely lucky if only one card gets brandished towards their side before this one is over.

---

### 2/21 | 9:30 - West Ham United / AFC Bournemouth

#### *Bet: Rayan Rocha Anytime Goal Scorer +210*

The $24M Brazilian transfer has paid immediate dividends since arriving at Bournemouth in late January. After notching an assist in his first game against the Wolves, Rocha scored in each of his following games against Villa and Everton. Although hoping lightning strikes three times in succession may be a fool’s wager, playing Rocha’s hot hand against West Ham, who seems to enjoy conceding goals at home, could equate to a nice little payday.

### 2/21 | 12:00 - Manchester City / Newcastle United

#### *Bet: Total Goals under 3.5 (-130)*

Following three straight matches in which their defense gave up three or more goals, games against the lackluster Spurs, a meandering Aston Villa, and the lowly Qarabag FK seem to have catapulted Newcastle back onto the right track. City’s defense also continues to string together solid performances, confidently posting back-to-back clean sheets and keeping opponents to under two goals in seven of their last 10 across all competitions. The unruly fact that Newcastle hasn’t scored more than two goals at the Etihad since 2014 – which wasn’t even an EPL square-off – should help keep this one under four goals. Whether Newcastle can stop a determined City from scoring four may become an issue, as Pep, despite the tall odds, is still making a go at a title run.

---

### 2/22 | 6:00 - Nottingham Forest / Liverpool

#### *Bet: Total Corners over 10.5 (+104)*

Over their last 10 games, both teams have hit the over 10.5 corners bet 70% of the time. Liverpool’s front-footed offense is rather conducive when it comes to gathering corners, averaging 7.7 corners since the turn of the new year. Additionally, Forest’s recent uptick in converting possession deep in their opponent’s zone into corners, averaging 6.2 corners since late Decembe winning corners, makes this wager even more promising. Even though possession tends to dictate these corners battle, Forest often finds ways to surpass this total, whether they have the ball or not.

---

### 2/22 | 6:00 - Sunderland / Fulham

#### *Bet: Total Cards over 3.5 (-122)*

With each team averaging four cards per game over their past 10, this mid-table skirmish should be littered with tackles filled with unnecessary gusto. Sunderland’s aggressive nature when defending the ball, led by the sometimes overly zealous Reinildo Mandava and Trai Hume duo, lends itself to games where cards come in bunches. Fulham also has several players up and down their spine who seem to enjoy being disciplined by the refs, with Joachim Anderson, Harry Wilson, and Saša Lukić all collecting 6 yellow cards in the EPL this season. This one could get ugly, like the November match, where 6 cards were eventually handed out, three to each side.

---

### 2/22 | 6:00 - Crystal Palace / Wolverhampton Wanderers

#### *Bet: Wolves Goals Handicap +0.5 (+135)*

This feels weird to write, but Wolves might actually be turning things around. Capturing points in three consecutive games definitely boosts morale, but the way they came back against Arsenal just goes to show the erratic nature of matches in this league. With that said, Palace have looked more like relegation candidates than the Wolves as of late, only finding points in three games over their last 10\. So, the fact that the Eagles are favored at all in this one can only be chalked up as a “rest advantage” line. This one will probably be awkwardly tight throughout, portraying mediocre top-flight soccer at its best. Despite failing to leave Selhurst Park with points since 2019, a re-energized Rob Edwards bunch might actually find a way to escape with all three points this time.

---

### 2/22 | 8:30 - Tottenham Hotspur / Arsenal

#### *Bet: Total Goals over 2.5 (-123)*

Over the last five matches between these heated rivals, the goal total has failed to surpass 2.5 only once. These teams have each taken their lumps over the past seven days. And, who better to get this frustration out than the team they are taught to loathe? Spurs are in line for that interim manager boost, while Arsenal should be extremely anxious to get back at it after their collapse against the Wolves. Although they may all be on one side, this game screams goals!

---

### 2/23 | 12:00 - Everton / Manchester United

#### *Bet: Total Cards under 3.5 (+111)*

Recently, this match-up seems rather tame when it comes to cards, only jumping over 3.5 twice across their last five tussles. Stats since October show that visiting teams entering Hill Dickinson Stadium are playing a bit more aggressively, averaging 2.3 cards per game. However, Man Utd has kept it rather clean as of late, averaging only 1.2 cards per game over their last 10\. Add on that Carrick’s boys are averaging a needle’s eye less than that on the road (1.11), and it becomes hard to ignore the voluptuous value dangling from this line.
